Emscote Infant School

Yellow Woods Challenge 2007

The Yellow Woods Challenge is a campaign run by Yellow Pages, working with the Woodland Trust and local authorities across the UK, aiming to get children into the recycling habit by taking family and friends’ old Yellow Pages directories to school for recycling.

The campaign starts in October and finishes in December. Emscote Infant School children managed to collect 541 copies and used them to create a copy of the school logo on the floor of the school hall.

Schools can enter the sculptures they make into a competition in a bid to win cash prizes. Emscote children are now waiting to see how well they did in the local school’s competition!
